QuEra Neutral Atom Quantum Computing Workshop
QuEra will deliver a two-day, in-person training July 7-8, 2026 at the Spallation Neutron Source on the ORNL campus. The sessions will provide an introduction to neutral atom quantum hardware, including its underlying architecture and operating principles.
Participants will learn best practices for designing algorithms tailored to neutral atom systems, with an emphasis on practical implementation considerations. The training will also cover QuEra’s approach to quantum error correction, highlighting how reliability is achieved on current-generation devices. This training is intended for researchers and students interested in applying quantum computing to real-world problems using neutral atom platforms.
Who May Attend
Members of the Quantum Science Center (QSC) and ORNL Summer Interns working on projects related to quantum computing. Participation is on-site only and is limited to 68 people. Preference will be given to QSC members and their students.
